We’ve all got them in the mail, the free offer that requires sitting through a presentation on time shares or other offers. Hold them to it, if all you need to do is listen for 30 minutes, do it. Request that the company/representative honor their end of the deal and excuse yourself. As a consumer this is no different than any other transaction. Many of the presentations actually do provide great travel deals, clubs or facilities. So listen but take your time and decide at home, never sign up right there. I check the companies I post here in two places, one the Better Business Bureau online look up tool and also the Whois domain search. This second tool will tell you who purchased the website name (if that’s where you found the offer) and may be the better way to look up the company on the BBB site. If I find zero complaints then I post them here.
